So over the fall and winter I have more or less just left the yard alone to do its thing. I planted some cold season seeds in October and have pretty much just been ignoring them, other than the occasional watering. Miraculously, things in the veggie beds are actually going pretty well! Guess ignoring them all winter is a good approach!
Fresh snow peas! These have been eaten since I took this picture.. hehe.
This daikon radish has TAKEN OVER! It's like it got that large huge overnight too. Crazy.
This little broccoli plant is trying not to be overtaken by the daikon and lettuce that keep trying to overwhelm it. Hang in there lil buddy!!
Fresh lettuce! I keep harvesting the outer leaves and it just keeps growing them back! I believe this is "Buttercrunch" lettuce.. although it could be "Bibb" cause the seeds kind of got mixed together.
Meanwhile there is still a ridiculous amount of tangerines on that tree.. Keep in mind, I know I've picked at least four Trader Joes bags full of tangerines also, and there are STILL this many on the tree. AAAHHH!!
