Things in the veggie beds are going really well this year! It seems that my sneaky burlap and mulch technique has deterred the phantom digger. We had a bit of poking around at the beginning, right after I planted, but no plants have been dug up! Success!

New since my last update, I planted the big raised bed full of cucumbers! After two years of having cucmber plants die of powdery mildew I was beginning to think I could never grow them myself. But this year they seem to be doing just fine! Just gotta be persistent is the lesson there, I guess.
My first cucumber! Just waiting until it stops being spiny to pick it.

The flowers on the cucumber vines are quite pretty, I think!
