Patio planter update!

We completely replanted my row of rubbermaid planters with new plants! Last year I had tomatoes in all of these, but this year I decided to switch it up and put all different kinds of things in them.

As you might be able to guess from the teepees, these planters all have green bean seeds planted in them.

These tomato plants were all volunteers! Meaning, I didn't plant them but they just sprouted up on their own over the winter. Probably what happened was that they were the result of tomatoes falling into the dirt last summer, and they sprouted from those seeds. Looking forward to finding out what varieties they are.. I have no idea!

Zucchini plant! I had a terrible experience with zucchini last year where it got all big and bushy and then it got powdery mildew and died just as soon as it started to flower. Baah! It was so sad. Anyway, I'm giving zucchini one last chance to not die on me or else I give up. I'm hoping that it'll do better in a container than it did on the ground.
