After waiting all summer, a flood of tomatoes ripened all at once this week totally out of nowhere. Pretty exciting stuff! In this group we have: Cherokee Purple, Paul Robeson, Old German, Carmello. The green one is actually an Old German that I accidentally yanked off before it ripened. Oops. Now I know to bring scissors with me when I head out to check on the tomatoes. Heh. Anyway, exciting news! I bought a kitchen scale today also, so I'm going to start weighing how much produce I grow. Should be an interesting experiment to keep track of!
